Our Quality Our replacement stair treads are custom crafted by skilled woodworkers. We take special care in ensuring that each tread you receive is premium quality. Our replacement treads have a 3/4" thick body have a 1" thick nose. The 1" thick nose extends back 1-1/4". They are made from FAS and Select grade lumber, the finest hardwood available. We do not use veneers.
The prefinished stair treads are finished with three coats of a special catalyzer added to a commercial grade, 45 sheen conversion varnish. The prestained treads have the stain applied first before the varnish. This special process gives the treads a durable, long lasting finish.
