How We Create a Masterpiece
Masterpieces are not created in factories and machines; they are carefully crafted by expert hands and keen eyes. A machine cannot guarantee the quality that a master artisan can. The process starts with the artisan choosing only the best quality wood planks from FAS and Select grade lumber. The plank countertop consists of full-length boards with varying widths, which can range from 3 to 6 inches. The craftsman carefully brings out the pastoral beauty of the wood with only his or her hands and a scraper. The random width strips are glued together. Then the process of hand scraping creates a distressed look in the wood, and adds dimension to the design. Lastly. the countertop is finished and shipped.
