Hickory is known for being the hardest, strongest, and heaviest american hardwood. Hickory butcher block countertops have a pale to reddish brown heartwood color with dark brown stripes, and the sapwood tends to be a creamy white with pinkish tones and fine brown lines. Our Hickory butcher block countertops are coarse textured with fine grain that is normally straight but can be wavy or irregular.
